
A well-known Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, made history on Monday morning by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking time.
According to a report by Wonder9ja, Hilda, who is 27 years old, surpassed the previous record set by Indian chef Lata Tandon in 2019. Lata had cooked continuously for 87 hours and 45 minutes. Hilda now holds the new Guinness World Record.

Hilda, who was born in Akwa Ibom, broke the record on Monday, May 15, at 7:45 am. She started her cooking marathon on May 11 with the goal of cooking for 96 hours to establish a new record.
Her cooking project, called “Cook-a-thon,” received support from many Nigerians, including politicians and celebrities.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel called her on the phone to offer their encouragement and support.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu also visited Hilda at the cooking venue to motivate her.
Even presidential candidates Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar expressed their admiration for Hilda’s achievement on Twitter.
