Reports indicate that the musician allegedly requested money from fans before allowing them to take pictures with him.
As people recognized Speed Darlington inside the mall, they approached him to capture moments together, only to be met with a demand of ₦5,000 each for the privilege.
A video circulating on social media captured the ensuing heated argument between Speed Darlington and the offended fans, who accused him of being arrogant and dismissive.
Feeling insulted by the musician’s request, the fans unleashed a torrent of insults towards him.
One lady was overheard mocking his choice of footwear and sarcastically remarking that despite not achieving significant success, he carried himself like a superstar.
In the midst of the confrontation, a man questioned Speed Darlington about his net worth and the extent of his accomplishments. In response, the rapper criticized the fans for incessantly following him around the mall, further escalating the tension between them.
