“We will review all evidence before confirming record” – Guinness World Record react over chef Hilda Baci’s feat

The Guinness World Record is yet to confirm a Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci‘s new record for the longest cooking hours by an individual.

On Monday morning, May 15, Baci broke the previous record set by Indian chef Lata Tondon in 2019. She cooked for more than 87 hours and 45 minutes.

However, Guinness World Record asserted that they need to examine all the evidence before officially confirming the new record.

A Twitter user named AlexanderDGreat has expressed curiosity about why Guinness World Record has not made an announcement about Hilda’s achievement.

In response, GWR said; “We are aware of this amazing record attempt, we need to review all the evidence first before officially confirming a record”.

Baci, an indigene of Akwa Ibom State began the ‘cook-a-thon’ on Thursday, May 11 at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State.

She surpassed the 87-hour mark on Monday morning but chose not to stop the cook-a-thon as she’s now on her way to set a new Guinness World Record.
