A clip of Nigerian Idol Season 8 has surfaced online, generating reactions from internet users.

Following Progress Chukwuyem’s victory in the previous season, prominent judges D’banj, Simi, and Obi Asika returned for this season.

One contestant stood out during the competition by performing Wizkid’s well-known hit song, “Reckless,” from his 2020 album Made in Lagos, which broke both domestic and international records.

D’banj, Simi, and Obi Asika were at a loss for words after hearing the middle-aged contestant’s rendition of the popular song, which was not satisfactory to the judges’ expectations.
D’banj didn’t waste any time in conveying his feelings about the young man’s performance.
