Arsenal defender, Kieran Tierney agrees on leaving the club after talks with Mikel Arteta

Arsenal defender, Kieran Tierney, is reportedly set to leave the Gunners in the summer transfer window after holding talks with manager Mikel Arteta, according to The Times.

Tierney, who is attracting interest from Newcastle United and Aston Villa, has become a second-choice left-back under Arteta.

He could likely join Newcastle United, but Aston Villa’s coach is said to be personally keen on bringing him to Villa Park.

The 25-year-old joined Arsenal from Celtic in August 2019 for a fee of €27 million, but following the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City last summer, Tierney is now down the pecking order in Arteta’s choice of left-back.
Tierney’s contract with Arsenal will expire in the summer of 2026.
The Spaniard made 36 appearances across competitions this season, starting just 15 times.
