“l will hawk my songs like pure water until I win Grammy Award” – singer Davido replies a Nigerian man who condemned his craft

Famous Nigerian Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke better known as Davido in a post on social media has vowed to hawk his songs like pure water till he wins Grammy Awards like Wizkid and Burnaboy.

It all began after Davido who has been accused of promoting his songs excessively took to his official Twitter handle and berated artistes with the mentality “I no dey post.”

Davido tweeted; “U be Artist and u Dey form ‘I no dey post’ … nah u know imma hawk my shit like pure water!😂.”

However, a Twitter user identified as Esko Barz condemns Davido as he rarely believes in excessive music promotions when it comes to achieving greater heights in the global music industry such as shattering records, and bagging awards, among others. 

He wrote; “You no go like hawk enter Grammy & Hot100 too?”

Responding, Davido wrote; “Well that’s the plan … nah why we Dey hawk … and yes by the special grace of God those things will come my way.”
